One moment stands out for Donald, and the man wasn't even there.

He was at Wentworth, fighting a flawed swing to be TaylorMade Ghost TM-110 Tour Putter  the hunt for a specified duration to find yourself in a playoff with Lee Westwood, beat him around the first extra hole and replace him as No. One in the globe.

Donald's brother, Christian, was home that weekend using their father, watching it unfold in the news.

``He looked in Chris' eye, also it would have been a proud moment,'' Donald said. ``He's for ages been proud and supportive, more pleased callaway x22 irons with the person I converted into.''

Donald opened his season in Abu Dhabi having a tie for 48th, initially since August he failed to finish among the top 12. That's still better than missing the cut, because he did with the Northern Trust Open this past year.

Riviera is the place Donald comes full circle.

He leads an area on the Northern Trust Open that has two-time winner Phil Mickelson, coming off his six-shot comeback to win yesterday at Pebble Beach; some discount golf clubs Aussies in Jason Day and Adam Scott, who are playing the PGA Tour the very first time this season; and Padraig Harrington, who did start to show some long lost form at Pebble Beach.
